Import & Refund Policy

This policy applies to all types of shipments, including import shipments, preorder shipments, and orders from our nursery in Hamburg.

All sales are final once the order has been shipped.


Shipping Risks (Live Plants)

Plants are living and highly sensitive products that may experience stress during international transit. By purchasing from Selawase Aroid, you acknowledge and accept the natural risks associated with shipping live plants.

During transit, plants may be exposed to temperature fluctuations, humidity changes, extended shipping durations, customs inspections, handling by courier services, and temporary lack of light or airflow. As a result, plants may arrive with signs of stress or cosmetic imperfections.

Possible shipping-related issues include, but are not limited to:

  • Yellowing or damaged leaves
  • Wilting or dehydration
  • Leaf loss or leaf abortion
  • Minor root stress or root rot
  • Cosmetic damage
  • Fungal spots caused by humidity during transit
  • Slow recovery or acclimation stress after arrival

These conditions are considered normal risks of shipping live plants and are not eligible for refunds, returns, replacements, or compensation.

Selawase Aroid does not guarantee perfect condition upon arrival and is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs authorities, weather conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control.

By placing an order, the buyer accepts all shipping and import-related risks associated with international live plant shipments.

If you are not comfortable with the natural risks involved in shipping live plants internationally, we kindly ask that you reconsider your purchase.

 


Refunds & Replacements (Live Plant Orders)

Due to the perishable nature of live plants, Selawase Aroid does not offer returns, refunds, exchanges, or replacements for:

  • Transit stress

  • Yellowing leaves

  • Wilting

  • Leaf damage or loss

  • Cosmetic imperfections

  • Root stress or minor rot

  • Delayed deliveries

  • Customs delays or seizures

  • Acclimation issues

  • Fungal spots or humidity damage
    General decline after arrival

Dead-On-Arrival (DOA) claims may be reviewed solely at our discretion.

To be considered for review, customers must provide a clear and uninterrupted unboxing video showing the sealed package being opened and the condition of the contents upon arrival. Failure to provide a complete unboxing video may result in the claim being denied.

Submission of photos, videos, or other evidence does not guarantee compensation, replacement, store credit, or refund.

Any compensation or replacement offered by Selawase Aroid is voluntary and provided solely as a goodwill gesture.

Refused, abandoned, or unclaimed packages are not eligible for refunds or replacements.

Return Shipping

  • For approved returns or exchanges, the buyer pays all shipping costs.


General Returns & Exchanges (Non-Live Products)

  • Returns accepted within 14 days if unused, undamaged, and in original condition.

  • Live plants, seeds, bulbs, corms, and cuttings are non-returnable.

  • Customer is responsible for return shipping.

  • All return parcels must include tracking.

  • Refund issued after the returned item is received and inspected.

  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable.


Order Cancellations (Updated Policy)

  • Orders cannot be canceled once payment is completed.

  • Cancellation is only possible before payment, when the purchase is still verbally agreed.

  • In that case, cancellation is allowed up to 24 hours before dispatch.

  • Once payment is made, no cancellation is possible.


Undeliverable Parcels

  • Customers must provide correct and complete shipping information.

  • If a parcel is returned due to an incorrect address, a refund will be issued minus shipping costs once we receive the parcel back.


Unclaimed Parcels

  • Customers must monitor tracking and collect parcels on time.

  • If a parcel is returned because it wasn’t collected, a refund will be issued minus shipping costs once we receive the parcel.


Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged:

  • Contact us via Instagram or Facebook.

  • Provide your order number + clear photos or video of the damage.

We assess each case individually and work to find the best solution.
